EASTcon26 is officially packed up and it was one that highlighted growth. This conference for us was a simple one (by design) which allowed a real focus on the growth of the program participants. Especially in terms of soft skills. We were able to show off our without the big elaborate booth. Next year we will be and ready to take the next step.

We want to thank our great Administration at Lonoke Middle School for the support. Also extending a great amount of gratitude to those that helped make our trip successful in donating time, money, and/or encouragement.

Lastly, as the facilitator, I want to thank my students and parent(s)/guardian(s). EAST at LMS is a unique environment that brings the most out of students that are looking for ways to take huge steps forward. I know that I’m hard to read at times, but I really do enjoy every moment I get to spend with my EASTies.

Calling all Lonoke Community Members and Local Businesses! 📣💜

The Lonoke Middle School EAST program is gearing up for EASTcon26, and we need your help to get our amazing students there!

What is the EAST Conference? 🤔 For those who might not know, the EAST Conference is a massive, multi-day annual event where thousands of students from across the region gather to showcase the student-led, technology-driven, community-service projects they’ve been working on all year. It’s an incredible opportunity for our kids to network, learn, and represent our hometown on a big stage!

What will your donation support? 🤝
We are raising funds to send approximately 16 students and our dedicated facilitators to the conference. Your generous donations will go directly toward:
🏨 Lodging for our 16 students and facilitators
🍽️ Meals, including sit-down dinners and pass-through breakfasts

LMS EAST Facilitator Jeremy Brown here! The countdown is officially on for our biggest event of the year: EAST Conference.

For three days in mid-March, Downtown Hot Springs becomes the center of our universe. EAST Conference is fast-paced, high-intensity, and absolutely professional. Over 3,000 people gather to see students showcase projects that are changing their communities.

You know how the crew in Stranger Things sticks together no matter what?
Well, "friends don't lie" and neither do the results.

Every year, we take several students over the recommendation. Why?
Because we have so many students who have earned the right to represent this program. To avoid leaving anyone in the Upside Down, we must bring the whole party!

We are walking into this conference with growing expectations:
2024: We brought home the Judges' Choice Award.
2025: LMS EAST Student Champion, Lillie Moysh, was chosen as an Ambassador and served on the Leadership Team for EAST Conference 25.
This year, “we aren't going there to cause you any sorrow. We aren’t going to cause you any pain.” (IYKYK) We’re going there to compete! We will be competing in several categories, and we fully anticipate our program being called onto the big stage.

These students work incredibly hard, and we believe in fueling that hard work. We love to eat well, and we have a strict tradition of following up a long day of networking with a victory trip for ice cream!

As their facilitator, I have several major goals, one of which is to minimize the out-of-pocket cost for every participant. I never want money to be the reason a student can't experience this life-changing event. But with a group this size, I can only make that happen with generous donations.

We are looking for sponsors to help us cover meals, travel, and of course, that ice cream!
