It was a great sight to see the Arkansas Army National Guard flying over the City of Lonoke this afternoon.

As we celebrate our nation’s historic 250th Independence Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on how far our country has come and look ahead with hope for the future. We are grateful to every man and woman—past and present—whose service, sacrifice, and dedication have helped shape this great nation.

Reports of a mass casualty event in Lonoke, Arkansas, are unfounded according to the City of Lonoke authorities, who confirm that no such event has occurred. The apparent source of this misinformation is a false social media post.

UPDATE!!!!!! The juvenile has been located safe and sound.

🚨 MISSING JUVENILE 🚨

The Lonoke Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile.

Name: Braxton Boughton

Braxton is a 17-year-old white male, approximately 5’4” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Braxton does identify as female.

They were last seen wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans.

Braxton was last seen around 12:00 a.m. on June 18, 2026, in the area of Navajo Trail and Fish Hatchery Road. They may be in the North Little Rock or Little Rock area.

If you have seen Braxton or have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact the Lonoke Police Department immediately at (501) 676-6953 or call 911. Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be helpful.

Update: Driver turned themselves in to the police department. And before anyone asks, it was not Elmore.

On Friday evening, June 12, 2026, an accident occurred at the intersection of Center Street and 3rd Street in the city of Lonoke. A white suv, believed to be a 2015 to 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe, struck a power pole. After striking the pole the driver fled from the scene westbound on 3rd Street.

We are asking if anyone saw the accident or has seen the vehicle, please contact the Lonoke Police Department.

There appears to be significant damage to the passenger side of the vehicle and it’s front bumper. Over $10,000 dollars in damage was caused to the pole, surrounding poles, and equipment.

We appreciate everyone and their potential help.
