I am married to a wonderful woman Mandy, and we have three beautiful daughters. I was born and raised in the Ward and Austin areas of Lonoke County. As far back as I can remember I have always wanted to serve and protect my fellow citizens. I have been lucky enough to realize my dream of becoming a police officer. I have served the citizens of Austin as a part time officer, the citizens of Jackson
ville as a patrol officer, school resource officer, crisis negotiator, and patrol Sergeant. I am proud to say that I have excelled in this capacity; proven by receiving numerous awards and commendations. On November 14th 2008, I was promoted to Sergeant with the Jacksonville Police Department, what an awesome accomplishment and birthday present. This experience combined with the trust from the mayor and city council of the City of Austin, allowed me to become the Chief of Police in March 2009. While serving as Chief of the Austin Police Department I ran for and won a seat on the Ward City Council in 2010. I finished up the two year term on the Ward city Council and did not seek a second term; I chose to run for Lonoke County Sheriff. I am proud to have served the citizens of Austin as Police Chief and Ward as a City Alderman. In 2012, we ran a successful campaign and won with overwhelming support and a defining 2 to 1 margin. Since being elected Your Sheriff, I have been reelected in 2014 with almost 80% of the vote and again in 2016 with another 80% win! In 2018, I ran unopposed for a fourth term, this one being the first four year term. I love what I do and will continue to serve the citizens of our communities with pride, honesty and integrity. I will be seeking reelection again in 2022. Thank you for allowing me to serve as Sheriff and with your support and prayers I will do my very best. My integrity, ethics, and professionalism are without question. I will truly listen to each and every concern from each and every citizen. I ask each of you for your vote and support in May 2022.
