Tonight is a special bedtime storytime! Join us at 6:30pm for some stories about bedtime animals. It's all about bedtime so come in pajamas and bring your favorite stuffie!

✨NEW! This week we have 2 related STEM events! Both featuring microscopes!🔬

On Thursday @ 4:30pm, tweens and teens can stop by the library to learn about microscopes, make their own slides, and have some snacks. (ages 10+)

On Saturday @ 10:30am, ages 5-10 have a chance to learn about microscopes with pre-made slides and items they find inside and outside the library. The best part? We want the big kids (10+) to help run the event -- show off your new microscope skills, run stations, and help the littles love science!

As part of summer reading, we challenge the community to read *125,000* minutes! That's the same as one person's full time job for a year.

How do you participate? Sign up for our summer reading program, track the minutes you spend reading on our reading log, and turn in the log. We'll keep track of the cumulative minutes.

The Summer Reading Program officially starts on Friday!

We'll have a hot dog lunch, yard games, and get signed up for summer reading! Kids get a FREE book for signing up. All ages welcome to attend. No registration needed.

NEW: Community reading goal! As a community, we hope to read 125,000 minutes during summer reading! That's the same as one person's full time job for a whole year. Can we do it?? We think so!

Summer Reading Events start THIS WEEK!

What's coming up?
- 🛏️📖Bedtime Storytime! Tuesday, 6/1 @ 6:30pm. Come in pajamas to an evening storytime all about bedtime animals. Geared towards preschoolers, though all are welcome.

-🔬🦠 T(w)een STEM Club. Thursday, 6/4 @ 4:30pm. Explore the world up close with microscopes! We'll be making our own slides and learning microscope best practices. Geared towards ages 10-14, but ages 10+ are welcome.

- 🌭🛝 Kick-off Cookout! Friday, 6/5 @ Jaycee Park. The official start to Summer Reading! Join us for a hot dog lunch, sign up for the Summer Reading Program, and play some games. All ages welcome!

- 🔬🦠Science Saturday. Saturday, 6/6 @ 10:30am. Similar to the t(w)een program, but designed for ages 5-10. Come and explore the world up close. T(w)eens are invited to volunteer for this event and help run stations (whether or not you can attend the T(w)een version).

- 📖 Senior Book Group. Monday, 6/8 @ 2pm. The group will be discussing "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue" by V.E. Schwab.

- 🎬Family Movie Night!! Tuesday, 6/9 @ 6pm. We'll watch the movie, dig some fossils, create our own museum exhibits, and have some snacks! Which movie you ask? I'll give you these hints: What happens at the MUSEUM after hours? Find out in this fun movie about a NIGHT watchman at a museum and the exhibits that come to life! {No, we can't say the name of the movie on social media for licensing reasons... but it does feature a dinosaur named "Rexy", a cheeky monkey, and Ben Stiller}. 📕🌭📘Summer reading is only a week away!!! The world-famous Kickoff Cookout at Jaycee Park on Friday, June 5 at 12:00 will include hot dogs, chips and lemonade for everyone! Sign up for the summer reading program no matter what age you are. Help us reach our community reading goal of 125,000 minutes. We'll have games and free books for kids, too!
