Please join us in congratulating the newest members of the Loogootee Police Department!

Jeryco Burris and Jaybe Wagoner have officially joined the department as full-time police officers. Montana Carrico has accepted a role as a reserve officer as well.

We would also like to congratulate Jeryco and Jaybe as they begin their first day at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Basic Recruit Class. We are proud of their commitment to serving our community and look forward to seeing all three officers succeed in their new roles.

Congratulations, and welcome to the Loogootee Police Department.

Martin County Emergency Management will be conducting routine weather siren testing today at 12:00p.m. to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.

Residents may hear the outdoor warning sirens during the testing period. This is only a test, and no action is required.

Regular testing helps ensure the warning system is ready to operate in the event of severe weather or other emergencies.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to keep our community safe.
