🌎✨ What an amazing experience for our Franklin School Team at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals!

Our students competed alongside teams from nearly every U.S. state and 22 countries, including Japan, France, Poland, South Korea, China, India, and more. They experienced campus life by staying in dorms, eating in dining halls, visiting MIT's college information booth, attending NASA space talks, and making lifelong memories.

Now they're already setting their sights on even bigger goals for next year's competition!

As the school year winds down, our schools are embracing all the fun, celebration, and traditions that come with the end of another amazing year! 🎉☀️

At Franklin School, students were rewarded for their hard work and dedication on the CAASPP with a visit from Snowie King 🍧. Meanwhile, at Loomis Grammar School, Dr. Diaz-Granados made good on a promise and got slimed by students! 💚

These moments remind us that learning, achievement, and joy go hand in hand. We're leaning into the final days of another great year and celebrating all that our students and staff have accomplished.

Yesterday, their seniors returned to our LUSD schools, walking the campuses that helped shape their journey and celebrating this incredible milestone with students and staff. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can't wait to see what comes next!

We’re excited to announce that our Board of Trustees has officially adopted a new K–5 Science curriculum: McGraw-Hill Inspire Science! 🔬🌎✨

Our previous science adoption was more than a decade old, with materials copyrighted in 2007. This new curriculum brings updated, engaging resources that align to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and support hands-on learning through the scientific investigative process.

We are thrilled for our students and teachers to have access to high-quality, modern science materials that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and discovery.

A special thank you to the classrooms and teachers who piloted materials throughout this school year. Your feedback, time, and dedication helped guide this important decision for our students’ future learning! 👏
