📚✏️ Back-to-school season is here!
El Centro was happy to join the Back-to-School event at St. Peter School, connecting with families and sharing information about the programs and resources available in our community.

We’re especially grateful for our long-standing partnership with St. Peter School. For more than 15 years, they’ve supported our families including helping make the holidays brighter through their annual Giving Tree. ❤️🎄

💜 Community Event: "Memories of My Grandfather" Telenovela Screening

We're sharing this upcoming community event hosted by the Alzheimer's Association and the ECHAR Network to help raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

Join them for a screening of "Memories of My Grandfather," a telenovela that follows the journey of a multigenerational Hispanic family after their grandfather's diagnosis. A panel discussion and Q&A will follow, covering early signs and symptoms, the importance of early diagnosis, and resources available for individuals and families.

In partnership with Lorain El Centro, Second Harvest will be having our monthly Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry distributing assorted boxes of shelf-stable food, Alaskan po***ck fish fillet, cabbage, grapes, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, plums, and cinnamon raisin english muffins, & MORE from 2:00-4:00 pm at Oakwood Park for anyone in need! Please share!

I have some unfortunate news as the weather does not seem to be on our side this weekend. We are going to have to reschedule the event “Christmas in July” due to the possibility of a thunderstorm all day.
