Reso 24-26 Recognizing & commending the 2026 Lorain International Princesses and the Lorain International Association. 25-26 Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Zelek Flower Shop. Ord. 71-26* Appropriation. 72-26* Auth the Police Chief to accept the award of the 2024 Project Safe Neighborhood Grant. 73-26 Auth Treasurer to enter into an agrmt w/ Keith D. Weiner & Associates for the collection of delinquent income tax balances. 74-26 Ratifying the acceptance of grant funding from the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for a community funding project awarded through Congressional spending earmark. 75-26* Auth S/S Dir. Good Afternoon!

Families and organizations across the community are invited to unplug, connect with nature at the upcoming Free Fishing Event, a day dedicated to promoting mental wellness, community connection, and su***de prevention awareness.

Hosted by Lorain County Su***de Prevention Coalition, the fishing takes place Saturday, June 27th, from 9 am-noon, at Finger Pier (next to Hot Waters) at 1104 West 1st Street. Itโ€™s open to all ages and experience levels. Fishing equipment, guidance, and activities will be provided at no cost.

The City of Lorain is accepting applications for the FY 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Service funding until July 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM. There will be a workshop this Wednesday covering eligibility, requirements, intended goals, the application, and the overall grant process. June 17th at 5:30 PM in Lorain City Hall โ€“ Police Training Room.

Eligible nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for a reimbursable grant to cover labor, supplies, operational costs, materials, and other costs for eligible public service activities. Eligible activities include, but are not limited to, employment services, childcare services, youth services, health services, crime prevention and public safety, substance abuse services, education programs, energy conservation, senior services, and services for homeless persons.
