Due to the increasingly concerning forecast for this evening, tonight’s Wish You Were Here – Pink Floyd Tribute show has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, August 23.
Gates will open at 4:30 PM.
This decision was made in collaboration with the bands, the sound company, and Rockin’ on the River. The latest forecast is showing an increased potential for severe thunderstorms, including lightning, during the time the show would be taking place.
With a production of this size, there is a significant amount of sound, lighting, electrical, and other stage equipment that must be set up and operated outdoors throughout the afternoon and evening. The threat of lightning and severe storms creates concerns not only during the show itself, but also for the crews working for hours beforehand and after the show to safely set up and teardown the equipment.
With the potential for dangerous weather impacting the setup, performance, and teardown of the show, we all agreed that moving the event to Sunday is the safest and best decision for the bands, crews, staff, and everyone attending.
We know how much everyone has been looking forward to this show, and we greatly appreciate your understanding as we make this weather-related adjustment.
