We had a visit from Sarah with the South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Lubbock. She shared several animals that have been rescued by the center. We learned about what to do with babies and abandoned wildlife that we might find local to us. The kids got to have some hands-on experience with a squirrel and snakes, and an up-close look at a Great Horned Owl. Thanks to HEB and Texas Library Association for funding our summer programs.

Andrew from the Science Spectrum conducted a summer program at our library about several animals featured at their aquarium. We had a great turnout and the kids were able to pet the creatures while learning about them. Thanks to the Texas Library Association and HEB for funding our summer programs.

Library Summer program in Lorenzo, Tuesday, June 24 at 2:30pm. We will be hosting a program by the Science Spectrum in the Lorenzo Community Center. On Thursday, June 26 at 10:30am we will be hosting a program by the South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. This will be in the Lorenzo Community Center. Please come and join us for fun and learning.

We had children visit the library today. There was a demo on dogs doing Scent Work. Then to cool off they did some necklace beading.
