🦁Parents🦁 please note the following message about our community schools’ sporting events:

Adult supervision is required for any elementary or middle school students attending an athletic event at Loris High School or Loris Middle School. Students will not be allowed to enter the event without an adult. Ticket purchases will not be refunded if a student is not allowed to enter due to lack of adult supervision. If we find that a student is at a game without an adult, someone will be required to pick them up and they will not be allowed to attend the next athletic event.

Gifted & Talented Screening Notification

Parent Referrals Now Open for Grades 3–5

We are now accepting parent referrals for Gifted and Talented (GT) screening using the CogAT (Cognitive Abilities Test).

Parents of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who would like their child to be considered for GT screening should click the link below and complete the referral form by September 11, 2026.

Important Information:

*2nd Grade: HCS will test all 2nd graders, so parent referrals are not necessary. Second graders will take both the CogAT and Iowa Test.

*3rd–5th Grade: A parent referral is required for students to be screened using the CogAT.

Please complete the form by September 11, 2026 if you would like your child to be considered for GT screening.
