We specialize in raccoons. DHWS rehabilitates injured and orphaned local wildlife, mainly raccoons, and then releases them back into their native habitat

I am sorry to share sad news, but as some of you may have heard, Dogue Hollow's leader and long-time president has passed away. We are all so shocked and unable to accept this news. Raccoons of Lorton will forever miss her. Jenna has helped thousands of orphaned raccoons, oppossums, foxes, and squirrels to live long and healthy loves and we will forever miss her.

Thanks to the amazing assistance of several local rehabbers, we were able to find help for all of our wonderful babies. That was the biggest concern.

For those who loved her and would like to help, Jenna's two special indoor/outdoor cats and a school of koi are still seeking homes. Please reply to me in the comments and I will get back to you.

This is Obnoxious playing with a ping pong ball. I don't think I've ever observed a raccoon playing with the same thing for so long - they usually get bored or distracted and change toys every few seconds. Obee would make a good soccer player - he dribbles well!

We have a newly built culvert and our road is finally open! Thank you so much to those of you who helped make it happen.
