Just three days until the Bootstrap Ball, and we can hardly wait!

Once a year, our community comes together for Casa Youth Shelter’s biggest fundraiser, helping ensure our kids and families continue to have the shelter, counseling, and support they need.

There’s something special about bringing so many people who care about our Casa Kids into one room. The laughter, warmth, and generosity make it a night unlike any other.

This Saturday, October 17th, guests can look forward to exclusive Silent and Live Auction experiences, a W**e & Spirits Pull, our custom Hat Bar, live country music, and a special opportunity to Fund-a-Need. We’ll also celebrate some remarkable members of our community.

More than anything, it’s an evening to celebrate the strength and resilience of the kids we serve, surrounded by the people who make our work possible.

Thanksgiving is almost here, and this year, we’re asking our community to help set the table for the kids and families we serve.

The holidays can bring a lot with them, especially for families already navigating difficult circumstances.

Something as simple as a warm Thanksgiving meal or a ride to be with loved ones can ease one more worry and give a family the chance to simply be together.

From November 9–13, there are two meaningful ways you can help make Thanksgiving a little easier for a local family.

September was full of our neighbors showing up for the youth at Casa Youth Shelter - a reminder of what it means to be part of a community.

On Serve Los Al Day, volunteers from our local community deep-cleaned the shelter until it looked brand new, giving our kids a renewed sense of home.

The Mitsubishi Electric USA team assembled and hand-delivered safety kit duffel bags, giving every youth who stays with us essentials of their own.

The Keenan & Associates team hosted a backyard BBQ, cooking side by side with our kids before an evening of co****le, games, and music.

For a child who needs a support system to lean on, service days like these are a reminder that they are part of a community that cares—and that cares about making Casa Youth Shelter feel more like the home they deserve.

Long Beach Gives has officially arrived, and for the next 24 hours, you have the opportunity to help us reach our $5,000 goal and make an impact in our community.

Our clinical team is the backbone of Casa Cares.

Through their work, Casa Youth Shelter can be present at Long Beach high schools, ready to respond when youth need us most.

Our counselors provided over 4,000 hours of trauma-informed support to children and families in 2025.

They respond to crises, follow-up with care, and provide continued support in workshops, teaching educators and parents how to recognize and respond to trauma.

This Long Beach Gives between now and tomorrow, September 24th, you can directly support the counselors who keep Casa Cares running. Your donation ensures youth in Long Beach have someone trained, present, and ready to listen.

In Long Beach's 2025 Point-in-Time Count, 58% of the young people experiencing homelessness in Long Beach are survivors of trauma or abuse, and more than half faced mental health challenges.

Through our Casa Cares program, our clinical team connects with Long Beach high schools to navigate abuse reports, provide youth and families with crisis counseling, connect youth to emergency shelter, and help educators and families access our trauma-informed care immediately.

This Long Beach Gives, you can support us between now and September 24th to continue Casa Cares. Fundraise, share our story, and help break cycles of abuse and homelessness in our community.

The Bootstrap Ball returns to Old Ranch Country Club on Saturday, October 17, 2026, with live music, dinner, a curated auction, and—for the first time—our Hat Bar, where guests can customize a cowboy hat all their own.
