St Isidore Historical Plaza in Los Alamitos is gearing up for its annual Dia de Los Mu***os Fiesta. The event this year will be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2026.

One of the most important aspects of Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead) is the creation of a memorial altar for the departed, known as an ofrenda. All across Mexico and beyond, families honor their ancestors by creating altars decorated with items that the deceased enjoyed in life. The altars are truly the heart and soul of this important cultural event. We are seeking community partners (i.e. Individuals, Families, local businesses, Clubs, and Groups) to create altar displays to be shown during the Día de los Mu***os festival. Altar displays are a great opportunity for community members and organizations to represent themselves and to celebrate their ancestors in the tradition of Día de los Mu***os.
