For more than five decades, the Lab has been integral to radioisotope power systems, serving both scientific discovery and national defense. Serving the community! Lab employees donated 450,000 meals to support people facing food insecurity across Northern New Mexico during the spring food drive.

Lab scientists celebrated the launch of their spaceflight payload to the International Space Station!

"During this project, the team demonstrated extraordinary determination, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and technical excellence that exemplifies the core values within the Intelligence and Space Research division," said Carlos Maldonado, AIMSS principal investigator.

The team completed the payload in just 22 months — one of the fastest developments since the late 1950s.
