Grafted Families Bay Area Grafted Families supports Bay Area families impacted by foster care and adoption. Join us to connect and change lives. 💜

Help One Child is a faith-based, non-profit organization serving families of at-risk youth impacted by foster care or adoption. We serve ANY family in these demographics without regard to race, creed, religious preference, etc. Help One Child does not screen for or endorse opinions of invited speakers, educational materials, blog articles, podcast interviews, support group curriculum or resources and referrals. Inclusion of resources does not equal an endorsement of another organization, individual or content.

A small congregation. A big "yes." And a God who did the rest. 💛

Some churches average just a few dozen people on a Sunday and may wonder how much difference they can really make.

But when one such church said yes to CarePortal, God made incredible things happen. In less than three months:

✨ A gift card led to friendship. A mother regained custody of her sons and was baptized alongside them.
✨ A struggling mom of four received groceries, shoes, prayer, and an invitation to VBS.
✨ A family who'd experienced homelessness got a table and chairs, a place to gather again.
✨ A pregnant woman received newborn supplies and a call to remind her she wasn't alone.

New staff. A new name. A fresh vision. And underneath it all, the same mission we've carried for 33 years: serving vulnerable kids and families together across the Bay with donors, churches, volunteers, social workers, foundations, and other nonprofits—all locking arms to support families who model the love of God by opening their homes to kids in need. 💚

By the grace of God and with your support, we are still going strong. Thank you for joining us in this mission. We are excited for the work ahead and to keep the momentum going.
