EBM is a project dedicated to the restoration of dignity, integrity and responsibility of the Black man in America, designed to create a pathway back to his rightful place in society, his family and his community. Through spirituality, education, mentorship accountability and fellowship, we believe that we can break all negative stereotypes and reclaim our honor as men.
1. We affirm that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God.
2. We are valuable, loved, strong, worthy, intelligent and proud.
3. We demand respect.
4. We cover our mothers, wives, sisters, daughters with love not dominance.
5. We lead our sons by example in what it means to be a man.
6. We provide for our children, legally.
7. We reject all forms of hate
8. Our word is our Bond
9. We are not animals, dogs, studs, property, criminals, thugs or Ni**as.
10. We don't lie, cheat, or make excuses for our shortcomings. We work to overcome them.

A Call to Stand Up!

Every Black Man Stand Up! is a call to ALL Black men in America to stand up and reclaim their rightful place in the home and the community. It is a response to the pandemic of absenteeism and despair in the Black community. From a view through the lens of one who has lived a life full of struggle and accomplishment. Larry Johnson, founder, has watched with great frustration at the disenfranchisement of his brothers. In addition to marginalization there is the abdication of our roles as fathers, husbands and community leaders. “While I support the advancement of Black women, whole heartedly, I believe that Black men cannot resign themselves to taking a backseat. Our future depends on the visibility of the Black male presence as a positive.” Time has come a pasted for this call to ring out. We believe the following affirmations will lead us back to where we were always meant to be.
