We cut the engine and just drifted in silence. Both of them breathing
together, barely moving, the calf tucked right against her side. We
stayed until the light was gone. Some moments you don't want to end. 🌊

slowly circling the boat, taking turns passing right alongside. We didn't

was already between them. They dove together and disappeared. A reminder

completely. Then the calf does the exact same thing seconds later. We were
soaked, shaking, and completely speechless.

A large squid came up from the deep and wrapped around the calf's tail.
We could see the pull. Then the mother hit it so hard the whole surface
erupted. Gone. Just ink left behind.

Watched the mother explode out of the water to catch fish and the calf
just immediately decided to copy her. Smaller, slower, less fish — but
the effort was everything. Learning by watching mom.
