You see and this is one of the reasons why we need school police officers
While you were sleeping, Officers received a call reporting suspicious activity on a high school campus where people were seen removing property from the school gymnasium.

The LASPD Burglary Task Force and Patrol Officers responded to the location and saw a U-Haul truck leaving the school gymnasium. Additional persons were seen running away from the location while throwing unknown items on the ground.

Officers were able to follow the U-Haul truck and take the driver into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle, a large amount of school gym equipment was found in the back storage compartment along with burglary tools.

In addition, Officers were able to take two suspects into custody on the perimeter. During their investigation, gloves used in the commission of the crime were located.

A thorough search and sweep of the campus was performed. Pry marks to a door and damage to the school gymnasium was found throughout.

After a successful response and investigation, Officers were able to arrest three adults for burglary and recover stolen property from the school.
