Congratulations to the 2026 Assistance League of Los Angeles Scholarship recipients! 🎓✨
This year, we proudly awarded scholarships to 15 exceptional LAUSD students experiencing homelessness, helping them pursue their higher education goals and build brighter futures.
One recipient, Angel, will be attending Dartmouth College to study Biological Sciences. He shared that his educational journey and success are a love letter to his mother — a tribute to the sacrifices, encouragement, and unwavering support that helped him reach this moment. 💙
Our scholarship program is designed to help students stay in school and graduate. While many students receive tuition assistance from other sources, basic necessities like housing, food, textbooks, transportation, and school supplies can still create significant barriers to success.
That’s why our scholarships provide $10,000 over four years ($2,500 annually), offering ongoing support throughout a student’s college journey. In addition to this year’s 15 new recipients, more than 72 students remain active in the program, continuing to receive support as they work toward their degrees.
None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors, whose commitment helps open doors and create opportunities for students across Los Angeles.
