We are a group of younger members of the American Society of Civil Engineers who are highly involved in community and school outreach and grassroot advocacy for higher involvement of the public in infrastructure issues. A big part of our goals is to instruct the public what Civil Engineers do and encourage more students to pursuit careers in the technical fields.

Join us for the 3rd annual ASCE LA YMF Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach!

We are excited to host our golf tournament and bring the profession together for a fun-filled day. The tournament will include a round of golf, food, drinks, and bragging rights! Funds generated from the tournament will go towards student scholarships, STEM K-12 Outreach efforts, and a variety of diversity & inclusion events.

Looking back at our 2026 International Women in Engineering Day Celebration! 🩷👷‍♀️✨

Last month, ASCE Los Angeles Younger Member Forum welcomed students, professionals, and industry leaders for an inspiring afternoon dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women in engineering. The event provided a space for attendees to share their experiences, learn from one another, and engage in conversations where every perspective is valued.

This year’s celebration embraced the theme of “Engineering Around the World,” recognizing that innovation is strengthened by the diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences that engineers bring to our profession. Through an inspiring keynote address, an engaging panel discussion featuring accomplished women leaders, workshops, and meaningful networking opportunities, attendees celebrated the impact of women in engineering while encouraging greater representation, mentorship, and inclusion across the industry.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us in celebrating International Women in Engineering Day and helping foster a more connected, inclusive, and empowered engineering community.

Join ASCE LA YMF for the 32nd Annual Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition (PSBC) on May 9th! 🌉

We’re excited to welcome hundreds of students for a fun, hands-on event where creativity and engineering come together. Participants will design and build bridges using popsicle sticks while learning key engineering concepts like structural design, teamwork, and problem-solving.
