UAW Local 2865, UC Student-Workers Union - UCLA UAW Local 2865, UCLA Unit represents Academic Student Employees (ASEs) – TAs, Tutors, and Readers - at the University of California, Los Angeles.

UAW Local 2865 represents over 15,000 Academic Student Employees (ASEs) – TAs, Tutors, and Readers – at the 9 teaching campuses of the University of California. The Union gives us the right and power to bargain with the University of California over salary, benefits, workload, grievance procedures, fair hiring processes and other issues, allowing us to have a voice in our lives as student workers.

UTLA has reached a tentative agreement with LAUSD, winning on key social justice demands like class size! Teachers still have to vote to approve the deal before ending the strike.

The LAUSD teachers' strike nears an end as United Teachers Los Angeles and L.A. Unified announce a tentative agreement. It must now be ratified by the L.A. Board of Education and union members.
