braries and instructional bilingual workshops to help underserved parents read to their kids. Focusing on pre-kindergarten children, our programs stress the importance of a parent’s role in a child’s literacy development, ongoing academic success, and overall self-confidence. Since 2000, through the donations and hard work of generous donors, volunteers and motivated educators, we have taught over 20,000 parents to read with their children more often and effectively, given each of those parents a book to take home and read to their child, and distributed over 150 classroom lending libraries.
