Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women & Children Caring for women and children experiencing homelessness with dignity and love since 1984.

Good shepherd Center serves over 1,500 women and children each year, beginning with the Emergency Outreach van that reaches out to the women living on the streets and encourages them to find shelter with Good Shepherd Center. Each night we provide shelter for up to 93 women and over 50 children in one of our four residences. Our Impact at a Glance

A month to recognize the strength of mothers, especially those working every day to rebuild their lives while caring for their children.

At Good Shepherd Center, we are inspired by the resilience we witness daily. As Mother’s Day approaches, we invite you to stand with mothers who are creating a path forward for their families.

“If I’ve never said thank you, this is my official thank you… You made a difference in my life.”

When Erica came to Good Shepherd Center, she was a young mother of three and a survivor of domestic violence. She was working, going to school, and doing everything she could to build a better life, but safe housing was out of reach.

“It was my saving grace,” she says. “It gave me safety, shelter, food, and resources I didn’t even know existed.”

Then, in 2011, Erica faced emergency brain surgery.

“The staff made sure my kids were okay; fed, in school, loved. That was real love.”

Today, Erica is thriving. She’s remarried, raising her youngest son, and now, she’s an Abuelita.

“I’m an Abuelita now, and it’s beautiful.”

Her children are thriving too. And she credits it all to the support she found when she needed it most.

We’re looking for caring volunteers to facilitate workshops for women at Good Shepherd Center. These sessions are open forums where women can connect, share, and learn in a welcoming environment.

Topics could include:
