Yesterday, we gave up our hair to show our commitment to & call on VP Harris to IGNORE THE PARL alongside NAKASEC CASA United We Dream Action FIRM Action Woori Center 우리센터 Woori Juntos 우리 훈또스 MinKwon Center 민권센터 Korean Resource Center 민족학교
Vice President Kamala Harris MUST IGNORE THE PARLIAMENTARIAN ADVICE and pass a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants THIS YEAR.
Suburban Organizer Hwangchan Yu said, “I shaved my head today because I know from my own experience with the broken immigration system that DACA is not enough. We need a pathway to citizenship NOW. The Democrats and Vice President Harris can choose to let their words be empty promises or deliver on their words and pass a pathway to citizenship.”
51+ people shaved their heads to represent the 51 votes needed from Senate Dems and VP Harris to create a pathway to citizenship. 51+ people were willing to shave their heads to win a pathway to citizenship, and thousands more have been fighting for decades. We cannot wait any longer. must act now!

Yesterday was a beautiful and inspirational day for our campaign.
More than 51 people shaved their heads to show their commitment to this movement. We are truly grateful for this community.
Our community has been ignored and silenced for over 3 decades. We are willing to shave our heads if it means we are winning a pathway to citizenship for our community.
Thanks to all the participants from CASA, HANA Center, Woori Center 우리센터, Woori Juntos 우리 훈또스, Korean Resource Center 민족학교, United We Dream and more!

Citizenship for who?! !✊🌕💛
HANA Center and our NAKASEC network partners joined nearly 10k immigrants & allies in Washington D.C., with our drummers leading the way, to and demand they create pathway to citizenship for millions of immigrants!
The Parliamentarian’s ruling on Sunday night was disappointing, yet reminded us that we must keep fighting for our communities as we have been for decades. We are closer now than ever to a pathway to citizenship, and Congress MUST deliver safety and justice to those who have been waiting far too long!
Our community member Min Hee Cho put it best: “History is in the making. We can open up opportunities for more generations to pursue their dreams, to grow and prosper without fear of deportation and family seperation. Anything less than that is an insult to our fight!”

Sending immigrants to ICE facilities. The death penalty. Maximum sentences. These policies never made us safer, so why are police unions funding yet another campaign against immigrants that traffics in disinformation?
To make real change, we need leaders who implement change and are dedicated to create a pathway to criminal justice reform and equity in California.

LEGENDS GET RINGS
We laughed and talked until 3 AM. We sweated and jumped in the summer air. I looked up at midnight and saw Simu Liu's face five feet tall in the sky over Hollywood Boulevard.
It feels like every moment of calm and community this summer is a gift we’re giving ourselves and our loved ones. Between fire and famine we still find time to crack each other up because they can’t ever take that away from us.
I love seeing my people’s excellence. I love even more seeing our existence. We are heroes whether or not they pay attention. We’re heroes especially when they didn’t pay attention and we still did the damn thing. I firmly believe we’ve never needed to chase their attention - haven’t they always crept to our shores to listen to our lives and learn from our lore?
Thanks to Gold House and CAPE - Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment and Korean Resource Center 민족학교 and the many places that provide campfires and signposts along the journey.
Watch Shang-Chi when it drops September 3.
Invest in your community, they’ll have your back.

I saw the sun rise over 3 different states this weekend. Two of those nights, I didn’t sleep in a bed.
I met Zoom friends in person and saw old friends get married. I saw a coyote in a cathedral courtyard and ate 台山 food at 2 AM in Chinatown.
Thanks to the friends and partners along the way who gave me room in your hearts and couches. I get to make and share this music only because y’all believe with me.
I don’t know what this year is gonna look like for live music and touring, but I know together we’ll keep the community fed.
All love. I’m going to go sleep now. ❤️
P.S. LA friends - come out to the Korean Resource Center 민족학교 in Ktown THIS SATURDAY for “US for US”, a community gathering and concert. I’ll be rocking with my NITEMRKT crew. All info at
