❓️Did you know that 25% of individuals experiencing food insecurity are less likely to be vaccinated against COVID-19 despite being at a much higher socioeconomic risk? 💉🦠
📝 In a study conducted amongst adults aged 18-64, those that have experienced food insecurity were much less likely to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or be unsure about the vaccine.
In order to properly empower and protect our community, we must continue to increase education around the connection of COVID-19 vaccines and food insecurity! ✊
🗓️ KRC's Vaccine Clinic and Food Distribution is 6/29 and open to any and all community members! A $50 grocery gift card will be provided to individuals who choose to get the vaccine. 🎉

Hi all! is currently recruiting Korean/Korean American participants who are willing to be part of a 90 minute, in-person or online (Zoom) group discussion to talk about racism, hate incidents, and the needs of the Korean community for healing, support, and prevention of anti-Asian racism.
*Note: You do not have to have personally experienced racism and/or hate incident(s) to participate. Anyone who identifies as Korean or Korean American and would like to share their perspectives on these issues is welcome to join.
Focus groups will be conducted in both Korean and English, and we strongly encourage the participation of all members of the Korean community, including elderly folks, first-generation immigrants, and monolingual Koreans.

Today, April 29th, 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the 1992 Civil Unrest of Los Angeles.
30 years ago today, we were directly faced with the many racial, economic, and systemic injustices that exist for Black Americans, while also forcing this dialogue between Korean-Americans. The result of the civic unrest called for increased conversations aimed towards racial understanding and solidarity between Korean Americans and the Black Community; as a result, KRC also shifted as an organization.
As we reflect on these events 30 years later, we must continue to understand that our liberation as Korean Americans and immigrants are directly tied to the liberation of Black Americans. Our empowerment is tied, and our work must continue to reflect such.
