The Internal Services Department provides services to client County Departments through ISD employee The Internal Services Department is comprised of five distinct business operations:
-Administration and Finance Service provides administrative support to ISD in the areas of human resources, budget, finance, and executive management services including support services for security, emergency management, public affairs, and social media.
-County Office of Sustainability provides energy management and environmental stewardship.
-Facilities Operations Service provides building management and repair services, custodial, and landscape services.
-Information Technology Service (ITS) plans, develops, operates, and maintains computer applications, systems and networks, and telecommunications systems.
ITS also operates and manages the County of Los Angeles Data Center.
-Purchasing and Contracts Service acts as both the integrator and facilitator in providing purchasing, contract processing, equipment maintenance, mail, parking, reprographic, and fleet services. ISD is formally designated as the official Purchasing Agent for the Los Angeles County.

@LACountyInternalServicesDepartment received the last 3 Portable Generators purchased under the State Grant Initiative facilitated by LA County Emergency Operations Center. The OPS Environmental Engineering Specialist led the emission regulation registration process. OPS Maintenance & Operations Division, Support II, Generator Shop Team deployed one generator to provide electricity for Veteran’s Wellness Day Mobile Laundry Program to support Supervisorial District 4.

The program is scheduled to launch on November 17th at 8am and will close on November 24th at 5pm. Eligible small business tenants may receive up to $40,000 in rental assistance. Businesses must be located in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County and have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Businesses are able to find out if they are eligible and may learn more information at ndconline.org/lacsbrr/.

Our L.A. County Internal Services Department Maintenance & Operations team responded to an urgent @LACountyLibrary request to provide power support for their new Electric Bookmobile to be delivered in a week. Electricians ran 150 feet of 2” conduit and tied into a new electrical sub-panel they installed at the loading dock just in time for the bookmobile delivery and plug in!
