chat… we grew. 🥹✊🏾

Last week, 52 people joined our Instagram Live and Zoom as we took our platform work to the next level.

In July, we defined our priorities. In August, we took them directly to Congresswoman Maxine Waters, one of our country’s longest-standing progressive champions and a leader who has fought for Black Los Angeles for decades.

We reclaimed our time, asked hard questions, and dug into what our priorities can actually look like as a federal platform for 2028.

This is what building political power looks like: defining our values, sharpening our demands, and organizing to win.

Next up: our September Membership Meeting — the last Tuesday of every month. Come help us keep building.

Reclaiming Our Time. ✊🏾

This Monday, we’re sitting down with Congresswoman Maxine Waters for an intimate conversation about building a young Black federal platform for 2028.

A new generation is stepping into the work—not just to participate, but to shape the agenda, reclaim our time, and build the future we want to see.

This is the beginning. Let’s build. RSVP now at link in bio 😍

In case you missed it... 👀

Last weekend, BLAYD members had the incredible opportunity to join an exclusive conversation with Mayor Barbara Lee Barbara Lee about what it means to be a progressive in this moment, the future of the Democratic Party, and the importance of building the next generation of progressive Black leadership. 🙏🏾💙✨

We’re so grateful to Mayor Lee for sharing her wisdom and inspiring our members to continue organizing, leading, and fighting for our communities.
