ONE Archives ONE Archives at the USC Libraries is the largest LGBTQ+ archive. ONE Archives has been a part of the University of Southern California Libraries since 2010.

ONE Archives at the USC Libraries is the largest repository of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) materials in the world. Founded in 1952, ONE Archives currently houses over two million archival items including periodicals, books, film, video and audio recordings, photographs, artworks, organizational records, and personal papers. Come join us for afterhours at the archive… this weekend durational performance artist Raegan Truax will debut ‘in the same place’, a 46 hour performance, from Friday 1 pm - Sunday 11 am. This event is supported by USC Visions and Voices

This is a rare opportunity to be at the archive overnight. There is no better place to watch the sun enters scorpio or revel in the Venus Cazimi. On Sunday, we will celebrate with brunch & tacos!

Performance artist Raegan Truax will perform in the same place, a 46-hour durational performance that draws inspiration from the q***r heritages held both at ONE Archives and within Truax’s own body as a living archive. The work showcases Truax’s q***r feminist methodologies of staying with, listening through, and laboring beside traces that refuse to settle. 

In a political moment haunted by violence against q***r and trans life, Truax asks what it means to stand where others once stood—to breathe in proximity to their desire, fear, labor, refusal, and survival. Have we arrived “in the same place,” or does q***r time fold strangely around us, collapsing there into now, the future into something already remembered in the body?
