Bob Hope Patriotic Hall is a historic 10-story landmark in downtown Los Angeles that serves as the central hub for military and veterans' services in the region. Built in 1926 and once the city's tallest building, this stunning Italian Renaissance Revival structure was designed by the Allied Architects Association and features striking murals depicting American military history from the Revolution

ary War through World War II. Today, the building is home to the County of Los Angeles Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and hosts numerous veteran service partners under one roof. Patriotic Hall provides comprehensive support to veterans and their families, including housing assistance, employment opportunities, and a wide range of vital services designed to honor those who have served. The facility hosts hundreds of veteran-related events annually, including workshops, training sessions, outreach programs, job fairs, meetings, press conferences, and adaptive sports activities. Beyond its service mission, Patriotic Hall also functions as a distinguished event venue, offering a grand auditorium and gymnasium with panoramic skyline views for everything from veteran gatherings and film premieres to weddings and community events. Following a major renovation in the 2010s that modernized the facility while preserving its historic character, the building was officially named for legendary entertainer Bob Hope in 2004, recognizing his lifelong dedication to supporting American troops. Designated as a County Landmark, Bob Hope Patriotic Hall continues its century-long mission of honoring military service members and providing essential resources to the veteran community.

Announcing actor, comedian, and veteran advocate BJ Lange will be taking the stage as our Master of Ceremonies for the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall 100th Anniversary Gala!

BJ brings an incredible energy and a deep connection to our mission. A medically retired U.S. Air Force Reserve medic and a two-time testicular cancer survivor, BJ has dedicated his life to service and storytelling. You may recognize him from his work on General Hospital, Jimmy Kimmel Live, or as a graduate and instructor at The Second City.

Beyond the screen, BJ is a true champion for the veteran community. From serving as the applied improv coach for the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program to his leadership roles in Veterans in Media & Entertainment (VME), he embodies the spirit of "Honoring 100 Years of Service, Building the Next 100."

We are profoundly honored to announce that Reynold Hoover will be joining us as our keynote speaker for the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall 100 Year Celebration evening gala!

Reynold Hoover is the CEO of LA28, the Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. He oversees the planning, delivery and ex*****on of the Games and was appointed to the role in June of 2024.
Hoover’s held various senior civilian roles in the US federal government and leadership positions in the US military in addition as a three-star Lieutenant General. He’s led the United States through the most complex logistics operations and was awarded the highest non-combat award in the Defense Department.
Hoover graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds master’s degrees in public and Private Management from Birmingham Southern College, and in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He received his law degree from The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law.

Join us for this historic evening as we celebrate a century of dedication to our veterans and the legendary heritage of Patriotic Hall.
