As we head into the holiday weekend, the City of Los Banos joins the Los Banos Police Department and California Highway Patrol in reminding everyone to make safety a priority on the road.

Slow down. Buckle up. Put the phone away. And if your celebrations include alcohol, plan ahead for a safe ride home.

Whether you’re staying close to home or hitting the road, make responsible choices behind the wheel.

💧 In case you missed it: Chromium-6 Water Treatment Update

Chromium-6 treatment was discussed at last night’s City Council meeting.

The City of Los Banos continues working toward a long-term solution for Chromium-6 in our municipal water system.

Recent pilot testing successfully reduced Chromium-6 below California’s standard and provided valuable information to help guide the next phase of treatment.

The City’s next step is to implement a full-scale pilot treatment system at Well 9 as we continue planning for treatment across the City’s water system.

This is not an emergency, and residents do not need to use an alternative water supply, such as bottled water.

🎃 Halloween Fest is coming to Los Banos!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS for a free, family-friendly evening of Halloween fun with the City of Los Banos Parks & Recreation Department!

📅 Saturday, October 31
⏰ 4:00–8:30 p.m.
📍 Ag Sports Complex, 700 N. Mercey Springs Rd.

From the spooky maze and pumpkin painting to games, bounce houses, vendors and more, there will be plenty of fun for the whole family!

👻 Costumes are encouraged, so come dressed for the occasion!

Our community partners at the Valley Air District are hosting a FREE Smog Repair Event for San Joaquin Valley residents on Saturday, September 5, in Merced.

FREE On-Site Smog Tests

If your car fails the on-site test, you'll receive a $500 voucher for emissions-related diagnostics, testing and repairs to help your vehicle pass smog!
