Parks For Life Challenge

Parks For Life Challenge Make Teams and win PRIZES in this fun outdoor social media game presented by Santa Clara County Parks. Registration starts April 1 Game starts May 1!

The game is designed to help you, your friends and family get outside and engage in healthy activities in Santa Clara County's lovely 48,000 acre park system. Teams of 2 to 3 players sign up through our Parks For Life Challenge website (www.ParksForLifeChallenge.org), create a team name, and then create a team flag with our flag builder. Once the three month game begins, through friendly competit

ion with other participants, teams choose to participate in a variety of outdoor adventures in any one of the County's 29 regional parks. Teams document their adventures by posting photos or videos with their team members and their flag doing their adventure on our social media sites (Facebook, Twitter or You Tube). With each documented adventure, teams accumulate points and compete against each other for awesome prizes. The game runs 2-3 times per year. Stay tuned for the next game cycle!

Hello Teams!

We are officially done with our Final Audits! Before we announce the top 25 winners we want to thank everyone who participated this year. We know it takes a lot of dedication and work to get all these challenges done everyday. We know the work does not stop once you leave the park but follows you home to submit each adventure. Thank you all for dedicating your summer to this game and making it an awesome season. We hope you all have enjoyed the Parks For Life Challenge and will continue to visit our County Parks.

Thank you all for participating in the last Benchmark Challenge! It was awesome to see all the great reasons why you all love the Parks For Life Challenge and Santa Clara County Parks. Attention, Teams! We have our last benchmark challenge for the season, and we want to hear from you! The challenge for this week is to complete adventures #101 "Why Do You Love SCC Parks" and #102 "Why Do You Love the Parks for Life Challenge". If you have done this challenge already, awesome, but we want to hear a new one! Maybe you have a new favorite park, or a new reason why you love the Parks For Life Challenge after a full summer of playing and exploring in our County Parks! If you have not done this challenge yet, now is the time! Participating teams will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a Santa Clara County Parks Weekend Yurt Camping Pass ($192 Value)! Please email all submissions to [email protected] by Sunday, August 26. (New videos do not need to be resubmitted for point to be entered in the raffle, only emailed to the Game Coordinator.)

We only have 9 more days left of the Parks For Life Challenge! Make sure to get out there and complete those last-minute challenges. Rack up as many points as you can by August 31st!

Thank you all for sending in your scenic photos! The great thing about a scenic photo is everyone sees the park differently, and it’s amazing to be able to see everyone’s perspective of our beautiful County Parks! We sent all the photos that were submitted to 5 judges and asked them to vote for their favorite images. All the photos submitted were amazing, but only one can be the winner!

We would like to congratulate Team SteppingOut_Is_SteppingIn for receiving the most votes and winning the Scenic/Nature Photo Contest! They have won an REI Outdoor School Outing for 2 Certificate ($180 Value)!
