Announcing the Summit Store Personal Shopper Program!
As the Covid-19 outbreak continues to ramp up in our area and we attempt to shelter in place, there is one place where we have to interact with each other in order to continue with our daily lives. While the Summit Store has taken additional precautions and measures to keep their staff and our community safe, the more we can all do to minimize exposure the better. Furthermore, there are those of us that are already exposed or at increased risk from this disease where getting to the store is not an option.
Partnering with what we hope will be a team of volunteers, Summit Store will be starting a Personal Shopping Program to help people mitigate risks from Covid-19. This volunteer run, free of cost i.e no markup or hidden fees, program will offer curbside/parking lot pickup as well as home delivery for your grocery needs during this crisis.
What we need now:
Volunteers! We need people to sign up to help in one or more of three different roles:
Order Taker - this role can be performed from home and requires basic computer skills. This group will monitor incoming orders.
Personal Shopper - this group of volunteers will do the shopping at the Store.
Delivery Person - this group of volunteers will do the delivery for people who cannot come to the store for pick-up.
This is a high level overview. Do not worry - we will have detailed information on each role and what they need to do. Our hope is that we will get enough volunteers to have multiple shifts during the day.
