As you may know, Valencia County is now the proud owner of the Valencia County Fairgrounds in Belen, New Mexico. As we begin planning for the future of this important community facility, we want to hear from you!

With the support of our State Legislators, Valencia County has begun the planning and design of improvements to the Fairgrounds. Community input will play an important role in helping us determine how the Fairgrounds can best serve our residents, families, organizations, and future generations.

Please take a few minutes to review the attached flyer and provide your feedback. We also ask that you help us spread the word by sharing the flyer with family, friends, coworkers, and community members.

🚨 FAIRGROUNDS TRAFFIC UPDATE! 🚨

Heading to the Valencia County Fair? Here’s how to get IN and OUT of the fairgrounds! 🎡🐄🐖🐑🐓

🟢 ENTERING THE FAIRGROUNDS
Follow the GREEN arrows on the map. Traffic will enter along the west side of the fairgrounds and follow the marked route into the main fairground area.

🟣 LEAVING THE FAIRGROUNDS
Follow the PURPLE arrows when exiting. Traffic will follow the designated exit route back toward the highway.

⚠️ PLEASE FOLLOW THE ARROWS & TRAFFIC SIGNS!
The entrance and exit routes are different to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.

With the hard work that went into the updated version of the Valencia County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update 2027. We are very excited to share with the public the public comment period for the updated plan. You can also find copies of the updated plans at the public libraries in Rio Communities, Village of Los Lunas, City of Belen, and Village Administrative Offices at Bosque Farms and the Town of Peralta. You will also find a Copy at the Valencia County Administration building at the Security desk.
The Public Comment period will be available until the end of September.
Thank you for all the help when we put out the Community Survey, which led to 166 engagements. Look forward to hearing comments on the new plan!
