The Los Lunas Police Department is sincerely thankful for the donations and Walmart Los Lunas for Grants for their contributions to making this event a success.

We also appreciate our volunteers for their generous support and participation in this year's LLPD Shop with a Cop. Your dedication to positively impacting our community has truly mattered. The success of Shop with a Cop depends significantly on the kindness and commitment of donors and volunteers. Your support has not only brought happiness to local children but also strengthened the bond between our officers and the community, which is always a priority for LLPD. As our department motto reads, “Building Relationships, Solving Problems, and Making a Difference.”

This year, we awarded 50 children from local schools. The event began with a parade through town, followed by watching Zootopia 2, and concluded with a shopping spree at Walmart. Each child received $100 to spend on any items they chose. We ensure $50 gets spent towards clothing, shoes, and jackets. These children were nominated by Los Lunas Schools counselors & School Resource Officers, who recognize their needs throughout the school year.
