It's with profound sadness we have to announce the passing of Firefighter Randall Wilcox. Randy joined the fire department in 1998 and answered numerous alarms and was always willing to lend a hand in taking care of the station. Randy held the position of Assistant Supply Sergeant at different times throughout his time with the department. Even at the time his health limited his ability to answer alarms, he transitioned to taking care of things around the station especially the pop machine always making sure it was full for the members and community. Randy was always willing to be a patient to aid in training to allow the other members to be ready when the community needed them. Randy will be missed and we ask you to keep his family and friends in prayers as they navigate this difficult and unexpected time.

There will be an odor of propane in the area at the end of Railroad Street along with a haze as a result of the propane leak that has been handled. Virginia Ave Short St and South Streetcar Way may be able to smell the propane. Southern States advised this is due to remaining v***r pressure being released. There is no hazard to the public as a result of this. All evacuated residents can return home. Incident has been turned over to Southern States.

One will be on places on each engine and are battery powered which helps to make them more versatile and faster to deploy and are the first of many items to be switched over as we upgrade equipment. The past two days we have been having equipment serviced and tested. Yesterday FUBAR Enterprises came in and updated all of our mobile and portable radios. Today Waterways of Southwestern PA did our annual hose testing. We would like to thank Horizons Church Lost Creek for allowing us to use their parking lot and DC's general store for donating pizzas for lunch.

We would like to thank Lipps Wrecker Service for assisting us in taking the old siren down and putting up the new siren.
