We can all help The River Otter Ecology Project protect otter populations throughout North America by reporting any sightings to their database. (You can also see all reported sightings on their website!)

There have not been many reported sightings on the South Fork, and we don't yet know why. Your sighting can help researchers and conservationists to understand more about our local otter populations.

"If you would like to see County discretionary SMUD money spent on Recreation in the Coloma Lotus Valley or on improvements to the river below Chile Bar Dam please write the Clerk of the Board regarding item #25 on this Tuesdays BOS agenda.

If the board does not redirect staff, all the money will be continued to be spent upstream and on the Rubicon Trial."
