THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN OUR 9TH ANNUAL VFW BOATRIDES4VETS.
9 boats with captains and we supported 35 veterans for rides. Some for a few hours and some played all day. Pictured above are some who enjoyed the day, including 97 yr old WW2 veteran Bruce Hall (pictured along side his daughter) who tried his hand at some fishing!

About 33% of our “normal” year and this was due to the weather. We had a lot of veterans and boat captains that cancelled on the weather. This is fine with us since safety is always are #1 priority.

It actually turned out to be a pretty nice (cloudy) day and the storms didn’t occur until we had wrapped everything up for the day.

The Shoeboxes 4 Soldiers 5k and Fun Run is on Saturday September 9, 2023. It includes the following events: Shoeboxes 4 Soldiers 5k and Shoe Boxes 4 Soldier Fun Run 1 Mile.

Monthly membership meetings are held on the top floor of the Tellico Village Yacht Club, 100 Sequoyah Rd, Loudon, TN 37774.

7:30pm on the third Wednesday of the month except December.
