TVRA State of Loudon County Meeting – June 3, 2026

The Tellico Village Residents Association (TVRA) hosted its annual State of Loudon County meeting on June 3, 2026, bringing together county officials and residents for an informative discussion on county finances, public safety, property reassessment, infrastructure improvements, and future growth. Presenters included County Commission Chairman/Representative for District 7, Henry Cullen; Road Superintendent, Billy Pickle; Mike Campbell from the Property Assessor's Office; and Chief Deputy, Chris Hutchen, of the Loudon County Sheriff's Office.

A recurring theme throughout the meeting was Loudon County's continued growth and the efforts underway to maintain fiscal stability, public safety, and infrastructure capacity while accommodating a rapidly expanding population. County officials reported that Loudon County remains in strong financial condition and continues to rank among Tennessee's fastest-growing counties.

Several attendees also expressed concern about the absence of a live broadcast of the meeting. Many are concerned that information shared at the meeting will not be accessible by residents who have mobility limitations and/or are still working. Information covered in this type of meeting pertains to all Tellico Village residents and should be accessible to all.

TVRA leaders acknowledged the importance of broad information access and reaffirmed the organization's longstanding mission to inform residents, promote civic participation, facilitate communication with local government and the Property Owners Association (POA), and strengthen community involvement. The meeting exemplified TVRA's commitment to providing residents with direct access to public officials and timely information on issues affecting the community.

Important Update – State of Loudon County Program

TVRA was informed late yesterday afternoon that Tellico Village Network (TVN) will not be live-streaming TVRA's annual State of Loudon County program on Wednesday, June 3, nor will the program be recorded for future viewing.

The program, scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, at 4:00 p.m., will feature presentations from individuals representing the Loudon County Mayor, Sheriff, Tax Assessor, Roads Superintendent, and District 1 County Commissioner. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations.

TVRA will make every effort to accommodate all Tellico Village residents wishing to attend. Seating will be available on the 5th Floor of the Yacht Club; however, residents are encouraged to arrive early, as attendance is expected to be high.

We hope you will join us in person for this informative and timely update on matter affecting Loudon County and Tellico Village residents.

Approximately 2 million units of platelets are transfused each year in the U.S. meaning that someone receives platelets every 15 seconds. Platelets play a critical role in supporting life, especially for surgery patients, transplant recipients, and anyone undergoing treatment for cancer or leukemia. Join us as we learn just how critical the need for platelet donation is and how you can help. TVRA members should register on TellicoLife.org and bring a friend, since this presentation is also open to non-members!
