Lawrence County E-911/Emergency Management Lawrence County E-911 Center The Lawrence County E-911 center opened its doors and began taking calls in 2001 and we have 7 full time employees.

In 2010 we accepted 18,181 calls into our center. We are a phase 2 911 center which means we can track 911 wireless calls made inside our county. Also we can accept Voice Over Internet calls (VOIP). We currently do dispatching for 2 Law enforcement agencies, 8 fire departments, 1 ambulance service, Emergency Management, and Lawrence County Animal Control Office. As our mission statement declares w

e desire to do the best possible service for our county. We remind our citizens that when they move from one location to another we need them to call us at our business number. So we can make the proper changes to our database.

The 911 center is hiring dispatchers. Must be 18 years old, have a high school diploma or ged, and a clean background. Medical insurance is available. We do have a state retirement. There are applications at the center. We also accept resumes. Starting pay is $13 an hour. Upon graduating the DOCJT academy the pay increases to $14. Please inquire by phone 6069895617
