We want to send a massive shoutout to Louisa County 4-H for their generous donation of fresh sausage!

Did you know? 4-H youth raised the hogs themselves for this incredible donation of approximately 500 lbs of sausage. Watching these young people learn responsibility, agriculture, and community service is inspiring. Thank you for your hard work and for choosing to support us!

A huge thank you to Nick Farris at Central VA Meat Processing! 🙌 Thanks to his support, the hard work of these young farmers is being turned into nutritious protein for local families in need.

Sentara will be setting up their no-cost farm stand at LCRC on Aug. 13 and Sept. 24 from 9-11 am. Sentara’s farm stand is open to everyone!

How it works:
Everyone can get free food from the Sentara farm stand.

LCRC clients can get food from both LCRC and Sentara.

Need ongoing help?
Talk to LCRC staff to see if you qualify for enrollment in our programs.

Commissioners of Revenue throughout the Commonwealth participate in a can food drive every August. Donations to the Louisa County Commissioner of Revenue stay local and are taken to the Louisa County Resource Council. From now through August 31, the community may donate pantry products at the Louisa County Office Building (1 Woolfolk Ave, STE 203, Louisa) during normal business hours (M-F, 8:30am-5pm).

Shout out to LCRC Volunteers Karen and Jennifer of
Oak Grove Estates!

These wonderful ladies coordinated a neighborhood school supply drive ✏️📚which ended up collecting 63 backpacks 🎒and 10 middle school kits last week!

Thank you, Karen, Jennifer, and the residents of Oak Grove Estates for providing students with the essential tools for success! 💫

These backpacks will be donated directly to LCRC families with school-aged children, alleviating the financial burden of the back-to-school season for our neighbors in need.
