Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Recently I had a moment where even though I was busy for a split second my mind paused and thought you know we take so many things for granted... we so often times get caught up in the moment that we never stop to think till it’s too late. We strive hard in this life to make a living, a name for ourselves but many times even though we gain much we also lose much. The scripture here tells us what shall we gain if we gain the whole world but lose our soul?
Don’t let the things of this life stand between you and the lord.. don’t get so caught up in life that you lose sight of the goal and that my friends is heaven. I am finding out more and more the older I get just how quickly time flys by.... seems just like yesterday we were celebrating the Christmas holiday and here it is almost Easter.. the Bible says that life is but a v***r. I often think about this and have heard it said many times.. when a person dies and you look at the gravestone you have the birth date and the death date and in between the two is a dash.. that dash is what counts.. what you did in the time God gave you. Make the best of the time you are given.. do all you can for the lord because in the end what counts is not what you made but what you gave away.
