We recently received news that the Texas Historical Commission approved a historical marker for Louise ISD.
In celebration of this, we are posting vintage photos of the school and student activities prior to 1975.
Today’s photo depicts the high school building, completed in 1937 with funds from the Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the Great Depression.

On September 4th, at the home volleyball and football games, the Louise FFA, Hornet Legion Band, and Louise Academic Athletic Booster Club will donate the proceeds from many fundraisers to the Trochta/Grant families. Your support is greatly appreciated.

🧪🔬 Science is better when you can get hands-on! Mrs. Ford's 5th grade class had a blast exploring relative density in the Jr. High science lab! They experimented with corn syrup, water, dish soap, and oil, making predictions, observing what happened, and recording their findings along the way. 🧑‍🔬✨ We love watching our students learn, explore, and discover science in action! 📚💡

Friday we are celebrating “The Swarm Night”

Calling all kids and parents who are part of the Swarm Project! Wear your Swarm shirt and get free admission to the Hornets vs. Flatonia football game.

You will get to lead our boys out of the tunnel at the beginning of the game and form a Spirit Line with the cheerleaders after halftime in front of the tunnel.

It's time to shine! Students who attended Mini Cheer Camp this summer will perform Friday, September 4 at the Pep Rally and Football Game!

Mini Cheer Camp Pep Rally Performance:
Campers will be perform at Friday’s afternoon Pep Rally. They will be grouped upon arrival to perform and then dismissed back to their teacher/ grade level after completing their cheer routine.

Mini Cheer Camp Game Details:
The LHS Varsity Cheer Team is asking that your child be dropped off at the end of the football field at 6:30 (weight room end) allowing the mini campers to be grouped with their age. JH cheerleaders will be accompanying the campers upon arrival. Once grouped, campers will refresh their routine with the Cheerleaders who will then perform during the 1st quarter by age group. After each group completes their performance, they will walk back to the end of the track, closer to the weight room for parents to pick up their child.

We ask that all campers wear their Pink Cheer and Crowns shirt during Friday’s performances. We look forward to a cheerful day with our campers. Go Hornets.
