GEMA/HS Alert: Jefferson All Hazards

Tornado Warning issued October 10 at 3:03PM EDT until October 10 at 3:15PM EDT by NWS Peachtree City GA

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
East central Jefferson County in east central Georgia...

* Until 315 PM EDT.

* At 303 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Magruder, or 9 miles southeast of Louisville,
moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
east central Jefferson County.
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Hurricane Isaias is now a Category 3 Major Hurricane and should make landfall tonight along the Gulf Coast.
We do have the potential for peak wind gust of 30-40 mph and with saturated grounds could bring down trees which could cause power outages.
You should finalize any plans that you have for this event by this afternoon

Wind Advisory issued October 9 at 11:02AM EDT until October 10 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Peachtree City GA
* WHAT...East winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central,
northeast, and west central Georgia.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 11 PM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
