ROLL CALL SUNDAY 🇺🇸
Sunday is a day we feel should be about rest and reflection on what we have been blessed with.
Five years ago, Roll Call was just a simple idea. It wasn’t a grand plan or a roadmap to something big. It was simply a promise to help people. That was what was asked, and that is what we continue to do every day.
This past week I have spent most of my time coughing myself nearly to death and sounding like I swallowed a squeaky toy. The voice is still mostly gone and the coughing isn’t finished with me yet. While I have been slowing down, the mission hasn’t.
Today I’m still coughing, but we have a very full week ahead. Two ramps to build, a City Fair booth to prepare, Crusade for Children activities coming up, and more veterans to meet and assist. It sounds like a lot, but it becomes much easier because of the caring and special people who volunteer their time every day.
While I was home trying to recover, volunteers continued organizing the warehouse at Roll Call West. Medical supplies such as bed pads, Depends, wound care items, wheelchairs, bathroom safety equipment, and other essentials are now even better organized and ready to be distributed quickly when needed. As always, everything is provided FREE to those we serve.
Today I simply want to say THANK YOU.
Thank you to the person who gives an hour a week.
Thank you to the person who gives several days a week.
Thank you to those who donate, share our posts, answer the phones, build ramps, sort supplies, transport veterans, and quietly help behind the scenes.
Because of you, we can proudly say we are keeping Jesse’s promise and HELPING ONE PERSON EVERY DAY.
Enjoy today with your families and loved ones. We continue to pray for our friends who are sick, struggling, hurting, grieving, or serving away from home.
God Bless,
Don, Jim and David 🇺🇸
