Riverside Park - @ Main & River
Update-
Couple months ago , the project kicked off with the Drainage:
This is the underground pipe system from the property to carry rain storm water to the river :
It’s not even seen , but is very important to develop correctly & prepare for - so this first step was over 250’ trenching & laying 15” poly culvert pipe across the site , down the road and discharge at riverbank!
NOW the parking Lot will start !
🏁🚗🇺🇸😎The pink ribbons & wooden stakes are set for curbs and grade elevations to cut the dirt and allow drain to grates inlets drains !

And in other News :
ARC as many of you are already aware have purchased and renovated, and are now occupying part of OLBH hospital as well as the Behavioral unit:
The Behavioral unit was and always continue to operate with a certificate of need from the state and is a detox center with active 20 beds.
What you may not have known as the hospital is now operating as administrative offices on the first floor and I believe women’s center maternity house on the second floor and there I believe this statistics are 75 women living there and last year alone they had 25 babies born from the patients at King’s daughters but are in the residences here.
The news below is currently as of today!

Addiction Recovery Care is aware of the federal indictment involving Chief Executive Officer Tim Robinson.

Effective immediately, Tim Robinson is stepping down as CEO. Cassandra Webb will be stepping in as Interim Chief Executive Officer while remaining in her position as President & Chief Operating Officer of Addiction Recovery Care.

This is an active legal matter, and ARC will not be making any further statements regarding the case at this time.

ARC continues to operate normally. All facilities, programs, and services remain open and fully operational. Our leadership team, employees, and clinical staff remain committed to delivering high-quality care and support to the individuals and families we serve.

Our commitment to our clients, employees, and communities remains unchanged, and we will continue carrying out our mission of helping individuals find recovery, healing, and hope.

Public Meeting / Discussion :
We are aware of the current concerns and public forum as well as the hysteria that goes with the future Unknown so we will be discussing possible proactive means and methods to initiate the dialogue if we need to consider legislative action formulating a controlled plan moving ahead!)
The past week has illustrated and highlighted valid concerns from both sides of the possibilities good and bad of what this type of development could mean;
So I for one look forward to open honest, factual, transparent conversations to put ideas on the table and to listen to the public that has trusted me to be a Voice representing them for the city of Russell citizens !

Run on Downtown Russell -
Eridanus brewery has great selection of food on the menu as well as wine, slushy’s and cider or beer for the summer weekend!🏁🍕🌮🍺
And yesterday was the Morning Pointe 5K Russell run and support of miles for memories Alzheimer research! 😇👍🏻

The Budget Meeting review and approval : part 1
Just to be clear, we had a workshop the prior week which was May 19 although that was delayed from May 14 leaving us little time between workshop and first Reading-
It’s important to understand the year over year budget financials based on prior expenses, and more importantly revenue should always outpace expenses, and sometimes we have to balance the budget by reducing expenses so that we don’t have to ever raise taxes, which is my strong philosophy!
Having said that there’s a strange twist that we do the budget expenses first before the year is even over which ends June 30 and then we figure out the tax rate in September so I’m always very conservative and cautious!
Once again, I’m grateful and humble for votes of confidence to be elected your representative as councilman in the city of Russell!
