🚨NTI DAYS| Due to an increase in illness-related student and staff absences, JCPS will utilize Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days on Friday, February 7, 2025 and Monday, February 10, 2025. All athletic and extracurricular activities will continue as planned. Families and employees should see their email for additional information.

🚨 NTI Day tomorrow. Check your google classroom for assignments and other important information.

🚨NTI DAY | Due to forecasted frigid early morning temperatures, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 will be a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day for students and staff.

This decision was made with the safety and well-being of our students in mind, as they would be waiting at bus stops and walking to school in extremely cold conditions. We are also taking into consideration our school buildings and the stress these low temperatures could cause on the facilities. The National Weather Service tells us temperatures could drop as low as 10 below with windchill.

Temperatures are expected to warm throughout the day, so all after school athletic and extracurricular events will go on as scheduled.

🚨 JCPS 2-Hour Delay for Monday, January 12th

Attention parents and guardians: Due to current weather conditions, Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) will be on a 2-hour delay tomorrow . Watterson will start at 9:30am

For updates, please continue to check the JCPS website and social media channels.

🚨DELAYED START| All JCPS schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, January 13, 2025. Early Childhood classes are canceled for the day. All after school athletic events and extracurricular activities remain as scheduled. There is no change to dismissal times.

The delay is due to the condition of some side roads and sidewalks throughout the county. A delayed start will allow students to be at bus stops and walking to school in the daylight.

We anticipate some bus delays due to side road conditions. We appreciate your patience as bus drivers prioritize safety. If your student is a bus rider or walker, please make sure to check their route and talk with them about safe places to stand and walk. If you are driving your student to school please allow extra time for transportation.

A two-hour delayed start means the following:
7:30 a.m. schools start at 9:30 a.m.
8:40 a.m. schools start at 10:40 a.m.
9:40 a.m. schools start at 11:40 a.m.

All dismissal times remain normal.

🚨❄️ Snow Day Alert! ❄️🚨

Due to inclement weather, January 6 will be a traditional snow day for all JCPS students and staff! No online learning will take place.

Additionally, all after-school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Monday. Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the snow! 🌨️⛄
