We are starting the competition season off on the right foot. Our Color Guard competed yesterday in the American Legion National Color Guard Competition. All their hard work and dedication paid off. They took home second place! To say we are proud would be an understatement.

On Friday August 21, 2026 our program was informed that we have once again earned National Recognition as being named a U.S. Naval HONOR School 2025-2026 school year for the 28th consecutive year and 42 total designations!! FCHS MCJROTC is among the 20 percent of all MCJROTC programs that have earned this recognition for the past school year. This speaks highly of the discipline and dedication of our Cadets and reflects great credit upon our Cadets! Furthermore this shows the dedication that LtCol Angel and 1stSgt Foote have in making sure the FCHS Cadet program is the best in the Nation! We also want to recognize the parents of Cadets for allowing them to be a part of this Nationally recognized MCJROTC program as we continue to strive for EXCELLENCE as well as set the STANDARD in MCJROTC. Our Instructors, Cadets, Families, former Cadets and supporters should be VERY PROUD of this achievement!🇺🇸

A huge thank you to the Marine Corps League, Kentuckiana Det. 729 for welcoming our Fern Creek High School MCJROTC cadets to their monthly meeting.

Our cadets had the opportunity to meet and speak with Marine veterans, hear some incredible memories and experiences, and continue building connections with those who have served before them.

We are also extremely grateful for their generous contribution to our program. Their support helps provide opportunities for our cadets through leadership development, community service, competitions, and educational activities.

Thank you to the Marine Corps League for your hospitality, your service, and your continued support of future leaders. 🇺🇸

Our FCHS MCJROTC Rifle Team has started practice and working hard Monday-Thursday in getting ready for the upcoming season with the first match on 3 September @ FCHS!! Come out and support our rifle team as they kickoff the new competition year!!🇺🇸
