Greenwood Elementary School

Greenwood Elementary School Greenwood Elementary School is located in SW Jefferson County of KY. We have approximately 500 students ranging grades K-5.

Greenwood Elementary has been serving the Pleasure Ridge Park community of Southwest Jefferson County since the 1950's. The mission at Greenwood is to prepare students to be academically and socially ready for middle school and beyond. Our vision is that Greenwood Elementary will provide a safe, equitable learning environment, promoting high expectations and high quality instructions for all stude

nts in every classroom. Greenwood will be recognized as a model school for high levels of teaching and learning as well as a positive school culture. Greenwood students will be collaborative, innovative, global, and resilient ambassadors, positively impacting the school and community.

🦇 Bat Box Giveaway! 🦇

Our amazing 5th graders recently completed a Global Game Changers service project by building bat boxes to help support the bat population in Louisville!

Bats play an important role in our environment by helping control insects and supporting healthy ecosystems. Now our students are looking for families willing to give these bat boxes a home!

We have 6 bat boxes available and the first 6 families to respond will receive one.

If your family is interested in helping local bats by hanging a bat box at your home, please comment below or send us a message! 🖤🦇
