After nearly two decades of decline, this property is ready for a new chapter.

Following years of vacancy and deterioration, the Landbank Authority helped clear the way for redevelopment through its Build Back Our Blocks program. What was once a long-troubled property was transformed from a deteriorating structure to a vacant lot and now a beautiful new home ready for its next owner.

Developer Douglas Bryant saw an opportunity to invest in the neighborhood by creating a beautiful home that adds lasting value to the community.

This is how neighborhoods move forward: creating opportunities, encouraging investment, and returning properties to productive use. One property. One family. One block at a time.

🏡 Now on the market.

What if an empty lot could become a family’s future home?

Louisville’s Affordable Housing Lien Forgiveness Program is now expanding to include vacant lots to help remove barriers that have kept too many properties sitting empty for too long.

This is about more than redevelopment. It’s about rebuilding momentum in neighborhoods, creating more attainable housing, and turning overlooked spaces into opportunity.

A vacant lot today could become someone’s first home tomorrow.

This will impact your daily drive. Here’s what you need to know.

I-65 is shutting down between the Watterson Expressway and downtown Louisville from June 1 through August 1.

This full closure is a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet project to replace three aging bridges that date back to the 1950s and have reached the end of their service life.

Here’s the upside:
✔️ Doing it all at once cuts out at least a year of ongoing delays
✔️ New bridges will last 75 years and improve safety and reliability
✔️ Detours will route through I-264, with adjustments to help handle traffic

👉 Swipe through for what to expect and how to plan ahead.

Share and help keep everyone in our city prepared.

This started with family recipes and a dream. Now it’s a Louisville success story.

Congratulations to Martin Garcia and the Garcia family on the opening of Guadalajara Bakery NUMBER 3! You’ve grown your business from one shop to three locations, creating 20+ jobs.

This is what it looks like when a family invests in our community and you consistently show up to support your neighbors.

We’re honored to help celebrate this milestone, along with a mayoral proclamation recognizing their impact and continued growth.
