It's the little things that make a big difference.

While most people walk right past curbs and ignore spaces beneath benches, our Albuquerque Ambassadors see every opportunity to make an impact. By giving extra attention to these often-overlooked areas, they help prevent leaves and debris from accumulating.

It's this proactive approach that helps keep the district clean, inviting, and well cared for.

Because creating great public spaces isn't just about tackling the obvious — it's about paying attention to the details that shape how people experience a community every day.

"It's just graffiti." Or is it?

Graffiti may seem like a cosmetic issue, but its impact goes beyond appearances. Tags and vandalism can make an area feel neglected, discourage visitors, and affect how people perceive the safety and cleanliness of a neighborhood.

That's why our Ambassadors work to identify, report, and remove graffiti quickly. By addressing it before it spreads, they help keep public spaces clean and send a strong message: this community cares.

We love hearing how our Ambassadors are making a difference in the communities they serve.

The Downtown Wichita Clean Team launched in February, and they’ve been hard at work helping keep downtown clean, welcoming and cared for.

So far, the team has:
▪Completed 127 biohazard cleanups
▪Removed 583 bills and stickers
▪Removed 364 instances of graffiti
▪Collected 1,449 bags of leaves and debris
▪Removed 339 weeds

But the impact goes beyond the numbers. Hearing positive feedback directly from community members is a reminder that the Clean Team’s hard work is being seen and appreciated.

Fact: Ambassadors give directions, report maintenance issues, provide safety escorts, assist tourist and visitors, support community events, and so much more.

Every day, they're creating cleaner, safer, and more welcoming public spaces while serving as the friendly face of their communities.
